Y5 had great fun designing and creating their DT projects - a healthy lunch box snack. We worked together to design a product that matched our brief of a lunch box snack that was healthy, affordable, bite-size and delicious. Well done Y5, your mini frittatas were a tremendous hit!

As part of our 'To Know You More Clearly' work, Y5 have been learning about the Joyful Mysteries of the Rosary. To complete our learning on this, we worked in pairs to create dioramas of a Joyful Mystery of our choosing. A huge thank you to everyone who brought in materials from home.

Y5 went on a Psalm search. We looked for examples of certain features, emotions and themes within Psalms that had been placed around our outdoor area. This gave us a better understanding of the Psalms and introduced us to some new vocabulary. When we returned to class, we wrote our own versions of a song/poem/prayer in the style of a Psalm.

As part of our geography work, Y5 wrote and presented their own news-reporter style programmes that reported on the links between climate change and migration - well done Y5!

Well done, Y5, on working hard towards your team reward breakfast. You have all worked hard to earn your treat, keep up the excellent work!

We spent an active maths lesson revising our work on factors and multiples. We retrieved factors of a given number, combined numbers to make multiples and experimented with organising numbers within venn diagrams.

For our Design and Technology work this half term, Y5 have been researching, designing and building their own cam mechanisms to create a Viking-themed toy. Well done, Y5, on some fantastic projects. It was great to see real perseverance, resilience, team work and problem solving skills. Well done!
