St Marie's Catholic Primary School

We have used our persuasive writing skills to convince people to visit The Anderton Centre. We then used our presentation skills to persuade Year 3 to go there on a residential next year.

Y5 had a wonderful time at St. Peter's Science event. We all had a go at lighting and using Bunsen burners, building towers out of spaghetti and using microscopes. We also had the opportunity to show off our eco-friendly sustainable house.

We have been celebrating the children's talents this week for The Celebration Of The Arts Week. In Science, we sorted plants into flowering and non-flowering on a pictogram.

Y5 have been working hard on their sustainabilty eco-house projects for their upcoming visit to St Peter's.

Using our PE skills and having fun on an athletics carousel.

Y5 practiced their oracy by carrying out an information relay. Each team member retrieved a question, discussed it with their group and took the answer back to the question sheet. Well done Y5!

Some of the children represented the school in the year 3/4 football tournament. Everyone showed great teamwork and played some fantastic football. They also made it all the way to the quarter finals before missing out on penalties. We are so proud! Well done!

Year 4 had a great time at the Anderton Centre. We focused on skills such as teamwork, independence and resilience.

We created posters about pollution, saving energy and recycling and learnt about David Attenborough's dedication to conservation. We presented our findings in a whol e school celebration of David Attenborough's 100th birthday.

We used Freeze Frames to represent the Apostles Creed.

As part of our science topic on space, we learned about time and how we have measured time through the ages. We then made and calibrated our own sundials.
