The children enjoyed meeting Ray, a published poet. He read some of his poems and got us in the festive spirit.

We have been working on adding and subtracting fractions this week. We have created PowerPoint presentations about important women in the Bible and we have dissected owl pellets to help us understand the main character in our Guided Reading book.

We have been working very hard in Assessment Week. We are very proud of our Double Page Spread Assessments based on our topic 'Who lives in Antarctica?'

Y5 went on a Psalm search. We looked for examples of certain features, emotions and themes within Psalms that had been placed around our outdoor area. This gave us a better understanding of the Psalms and introduced us to some new vocabulary. When we returned to class, we wrote our own versions of a song/poem/prayer in the style of a Psalm.

This week in Science we classified things we found in the garden. We crossed over tens in Maths and illustrated The Annunciation in R.E. Well done to Toby winning tickets to watch Wigan Athletic!

A wonderful week starting with Peace Hour, a visit from British Legion and ending with a Podcast about Saving the Ocean

We had a wonderful time at The Grosvenor Museum finding out about the Roman invasion and Roman legacies.

In Year 1, we discussed what bullying is and is not. We thought how we could use our own powers for good - to stand up for ourselves and others.

We began the week by delivering our Remembrance Day Celebration at Church. We have cracked long multiplication and have learned all about the role of Miriam in the Bible and her journey with Moses.

This week, we enjoyed sharing our Antarctica Research and matching the Physical features of Antarctica to their definitions.

What a wonderful week we have had in pre-school! This week, we have celebrated Remembrance day. We created beautiful poppies and watched a special video explaining why we wear them.
