Year 1- Summer 1- Week 2
This week, Year 1 retold the story of the Road to Emmaus from Luke's Gospel. We also said the Rosary with Year 4 as part of the month of Mary. We have been busy in our areas recapping our phonics and we have begun counting in 2s in Maths.

Year 2: Summer 1 - Week 2
This week we have created a dance to show how the Apostles felt at Pentecost, we have made cards for someone who shows us unconditional love like Jesus shows us. We have measured our plant stems and counted the leaves to monitor how they are growing and have enjoyed another Mystery Reader.

Year 1- Summer 1- Week 1
What a wonderful week we have had celebrating our 60th Anniversary! We started the week with a special mass in school with our friends and families followed by a look round our 'school museum'. We completed lots of fun activities in our class and finished the day on Tuesday with a wonderful showcase of songs from each decade the school has been open. It was such a special occasion and everyone enjoyed dancing along with smiling faces. We finished the week with a very special

Year 2:Summer 1-Week 1
This week we had a great time celebrating 60 Years of St Marie's. We enjoyed a lovely mass, visiting the school museum, dressing up, a picnic, performing our dance from the 1980's and planting a tree and our time capsule. In Science we set up a comparative test to find out what conditions plants need and we planted seeds so we can monitor how they grow.

Pre-School- Summer term 1- Week 1
It has been a wonderful first week back at pre-school. The children have enjoyed playing in the sunshine, celebrating the 60th anniversary and have took on roles in the new veterinary surgery. Robot group have also practiced their cutting skills in phonics, carefully snipping their rhyming robots.

Pre-school- Spring term 11- week 6
This week, the children have enjoyed creating Easter cards, and welly planting. We have been on an Egg hunt around the garden, tasted yummy hot cross buns and enjoyed potato planting with Mr Keating.

Year 1- Spring 2- Week 6
We shared some lovely homework together in our final week. We have also visited the stations of the cross with year 6 leading us and talked about Jesus's final days leading up to Easter Sunday. Everyone has worked so hard this term and deserves a well earned rest.

This week we have been busy making Easter cards and an Easter Paschal candle. We have added prayers to our prayer book and walked around the stations of the cross led by year 6. We have worked hard with our handwriting all term.
