A great week, full of science experiments, washing of feet and WORLD BOOK DAY. The children recorded a podcast and interviewed children around school about their experience of the day

As ever, the children have been working hard and been a joy to teach! We have revised all the grammar terminology we are confident with so far, started our new topic on 'The Maya' and have looked at area and perimeter in maths.

That is a wrap! What a wonderful time we have had! The children have been a credit - it has been our absolute pleasure to take them away! Our final day of fun included Geocaching in the village and visiting the local gift shop.

A great trip to the Caves, The Ghyll and Bushcraft. The children have been fabulous again. The week has flown by!

A fantastic first day - the children have been a credit so far! They have listened really well, taken instruction, had a great time out on the water and enjoyed Mac 'n' Cheese for tea with Apple Crumble. We did some OAA in the dark and explored the grounds. They have all managed to make their own beds and enjoyed nighttime hot chocolate and biscuits.

We have had a busy week improving our arithmetic, role playing grammar with preposition charades, retelling Jesus' miracles and learning about inherited characteristics in science. We really enjoyed team bonding in PE.

We have investigated ratio this week, researched Charles Darwin, found the features of non-chronological reports and retold the Wedding at Cana.

We had a fabulous start to the term. We worked hard on converting measure, researching The Lake District and reading mysterious short stories.

A jam packed week: Dancing at the Christmas Disco; baking our gluten free products and evaluating them; finishing our setting descriptions of A Christmas Carol; making Christmas cards and decorations; a visit from Fr Joseph and a festive litter pick around Standish.

We enjoyed our Santa Dash with Reception. We have taste tested gluten free products for our DT project and we have role played being the ghosts from A Christmas Carol
