A busy week for the reception children

We had a great time watching 'Punch and Judy' show. At the end end Will showed us 'behind' the scenes. He showed each of the puppets.

The children found a baby vole in the garden just as we were about to plant some radishes'. We also filled the buckets and wheel barrows with bark chippings and moved to a different part of the garden.

A busy week in reception. We have been thinking about how Jesus is everyone's friend and what makes a good friend. We have made gingerbread people linked to our maths work. The children have also designed disgusting sandwiches for the seagulls to eat from the story 'The Lighthouse Keepers Lunch'.

We started our reception and year 6 gardening club this week. It was just reception children this week as the year 6 were visiting St Peter's High school. This week we planted our beans and sunflowers we had been growing in class from last half term. We then weeded the flower beds. A great job done by all.

Reception have been very busy this week. They have been working with year 6 designing clothes for their teddies, year 6 will make these clothes. We have been reading the story of 'The Rainbow Fish' and have been sharing in maths.

On Saturday morning Mrs Bunting woke up to the sound of fluttering. By Sunday 4 butterflies have emerged from their cocoons. Watch Mrs bunting's big girls release them.

A week thinking about Sir David Attenbrough. We have been watching our sunflowers and beans grow. We've also had a mystery reader - Nell's mummy. We love listening to stories.

A busy week in reception. We have planted beans and sunflowers. Our caterpillars have made their chrysalis so now we watch and wait for them to emerge as butterflies. We have worked hard on our handwriting skills. In R.E we have made pinwheels to remind ourselves that we can't see the Holy Spirit but we can feel it just like the wind.

A busy week in reception, we have been learning about the Lifecycle of Butterflies'.

We had a fantasitic visit to Chester Zoo.

We will be 'Difference Detectives' and investigate different life cycles and how things grow and change.

AA busy week in reception, we've even had a visit from a real life 'Superhero'.

We have been very busy preparing our assembly and making our gifts for our lovely mummy's. Happy Mothers Day to all our mums on Sunday.
