We have been busy this week ordering pumpkins by size and thinking about 'World Mental Health day'. We have been thinking about how to keep our brains healthy and also thinking about the different parts of the body. Our story this week was 'Funnybones'. We have also sorted buttons in maths.

The reception children took part in a reflective pray time and listened to the scripture about 'Our Lady Mary' They sat and listened beautifully.

A busy week in reception. Lots of time spent outside. We have read the story 'Harry and the Dinosaurs goes to school'. We have been thinking about Number 1 and what we have one of.

The year 6 children led a Celebration of the Word to welcome the reception children into Saint Marie's school family. They all made a promise to help guide the reception children on their faith journey.

The reception children love spending time with their buddies.

We have had a busy week thinking about God's Wonderful World. The children have thought about what makes them a good Steward and have donate food for 'The Brick'. We have been thinking about what makes us happy.

Parent information for reception class 'Tell me about yourself'.

The reception children have been learning how to make the sign of the cross. We have listening to the 'Creation' story and know how God created the Earth and why we have to look after 'God's Wonderful World'.

On Wednesday afternoons, we will be joined by Funbox Jo for a fun-filled session combining music, movement and signing. During each session, the children will learn Signalong signs alongside familiar and exciting songs. This is a wonderful way to encourage children’s spoken language, communication and confidence, while also supporting their health and well-being. Most importantly, the sessions are all about having lots of fun, singing, moving and learning together!
