A very warm welcome on behalf of our children, staff and Governors!
It is my privilege to be headteacher here at Saint Marie’s.
We are a small, ‘Outstanding’, Catholic school with a big heart, firmly
established within the Standish community.
Each day I am impressed by our fantastic children and their enthusiasm and joy for learning, and also by our experienced, highly skilled staff team, who show their commitment and love for what they do. Visitors comment on our children’s excellent behaviour and care for each other, and our warm, family feel.
Here at Saint Marie’s Jesus is at the centre of everything we do as we learn through faith, love and respect. Every day we model, nurture and celebrate the Gospel Values of being kind, faithful, honest, welcoming, trustworthy, loving and a team!
Our curriculum is ambitious for all children – Expressive Arts is timetabled weekly for every class, we make use of our beautiful outside spaces for learning, we are committed to mental health and well being and have been awarded recently with the Platinum Sports Award. Children thrive at Saint Marie’s through our nurturing of individual talents and our high expectations both academically and in every area of school life and personal development.
Please get in contact if you would like to arrange a personal tour around our wonderful school. We welcome families of all faiths.
We look forward to meeting you.
Mrs F Jackson

The Big Lent Walk
Thank you for your very generous donations to CAFOD this Lent. We have raised a fantastic £580! Also, thank you to the children who have walked each week, whatever the weather. The money raised will help those around the world who have very little and for whom it is a struggle for the very basics in life.
Our school will be celebrating its 60th birthday after the Easter Break!
On Monday the 20th April, there will be a thanksgiving Mass in school at 2pm. All families are welcome. On Tuesday the 21st April, we will be marking each decade of the school’s history. Children are invited to come dressed up in their designated decade or wear yellow and blue (our school colours) if they prefer.
