We have been celebrating the children's talents this week for The Celebration Of The Arts Week. In Science, we sorted plants into flowering and non-flowering on a pictogram.

Using our PE skills and having fun on an athletics carousel.

Some of the children represented the school in the year 3/4 football tournament. Everyone showed great teamwork and played some fantastic football. They also made it all the way to the quarter finals before missing out on penalties. We are so proud! Well done!

Year 4 had a great time at the Anderton Centre. We focused on skills such as teamwork, independence and resilience.

We created posters about pollution, saving energy and recycling and learnt about David Attenborough's dedication to conservation. We presented our findings in a whol e school celebration of David Attenborough's 100th birthday.

We used Freeze Frames to represent the Apostles Creed.

Year 4 wrote a prayer for Pope Leo and all those who continue the work of Jesus today, in serving, teaching and caring for others in the work they do.

We performed freeze frames in R.E. to show the feelings of the disciples when Jesus appeared to them, while they were fishing.

As part of our St. Marie's 60th Anniversary Celebrations, we dressed up in 1990s outfits; performed a dance to a 1990s song and enjoyed a whole school picnic.

We performed the Easter Story through words, song and dance. Happy Easter from Mrs Hawkins, Mrs Carrington, Mrs Polgar and Mrs Aspinall x

World Book Day in Year 4 based on Perfectly Norman who grew wings.

Thank you to all the Year 4 Parents and grandparents who have supported us in class as Mystery Readers. We have loved welcoming you into our classroom and it has showed us all the importance of reading for pleasure.

In R.E. we have started our new topic Desert to Garden. We have read and discussed the story of The Prodigal Son, creating freeze frames to represent different scenes.

We had a great time learning about different countries and their cultures on Diversity Day. In our own class, we focussed on Nigeria, learning about its landscape, wildlife, languages, currency, national food and popular sports. We even learnt a Nigerian song and dance!

In Science, we worked scientifically to test the properties of liquids.
