Y5: The different ways humans use deserts

We used our outdoor learning areas to research some of the different ways in which humans can use deserts. We found out about mining, farming, building places to live and generating re-newable energy. Once we gathered our facts, we wrote a speech from the point of view of a desert, telling all about the different ways deserts can be used.
